Questions guests ask
The things people most often want to check before they book.
Yes, in the self-catering cottage, which is pet-friendly and enclosed with palisade fencing. Dogs are welcome there, but we cannot take cats. The four guest rooms in the stables are not pet-friendly. Please tell us about your dog when you book.
Yes. Children under two stay free, and children under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult. Please tell us their ages when you book so that we can put you in the room that suits your family best — the cottage sleeps four and has its own kitchen, which families usually prefer.
Check-in is between 2pm and 6pm, and check-out between 7am and 10am. Other times can almost always be arranged — just let us know in advance so that someone is expecting you.
The cottage has its own stoep with a Weber braai and a carport alongside it. If you are staying in one of the guest rooms and would like to braai, please ask us when you book and we will sort something out.
Yes. There is Wi-Fi in all four guest rooms and in the cottage, and it is free for guests. Every room also has an internet TV with Netflix and YouTube.
Very close. More than twenty wedding and function venues are within 25km of us, in the area between Pretoria, Rayton and Cullinan. The nearest are Nguni Ranch and The Rustic Rose, both under 4km away, and Diamond Hill, Diamantvallei, L'Aquila and Galagos are all within 8km. A great many of our guests are here for a wedding, so late arrivals are something we are used to — please arrange it with us beforehand.
A 50% deposit secures the booking. If you cancel less than 30 days before arrival you forfeit 50% of the deposit, less than 14 days before 70% of it, and less than 2 days before the whole deposit. Please talk to us if your plans change — it is always better to call.
Not inside the rooms or any of the buildings. You are very welcome to smoke outside — each room opens onto the grounds and the cottage has its own stoep.
No, an ordinary car is fine. The last 4.4km from the R104 is a gravel road, and it is kept in good condition all year. Look for the stone wall with the Soetwaters sign on it — coming from the Cullinan side it is easy to miss, so watch for the wall.
